Have you heard that line,
“last night was like a movie?”
I wholeheartedly hope you wake up the morning after your wedding feeling like that.
It should feel like a movie, and I want you to be able to watch it back like it was one. Most importantly, I want you to re-experience every emotion you felt on your day over & over again every time you watch your wedding film.
My style is vastly documentary — meaning I prefer to capture the day as it naturally unfolds. Perfectly candidly. That being said, I know there is a time & a place for guidance and posing. I would say about 90-95% of your day is captured raw and naturally, while the other 5-10% is guided & posed. When I do pose couples, I don’t just stick to the same 10 poses that I use for every couple. I only use poses that I feel match your personalities and your vibe. And I am always on the hunt for new, fun prompts to bring out the best sides of my couples.
Artistically, I edit my films true-to-color, utilizing natural light whenever possible. My colors and tones tend to lean just slightly on the warmer side, to give all of my films that “natural glow.” Please check out my portfolio via Instagram, Vimeo or YouTube to get an idea of my style.
Overall, my approach is simple. I get to know you as a couple and as individuals. I learn what is most important to you, both in your lives and on your wedding day. I then use what I've learned about you to visualize the film I think you'll love, and storyboard exactly what I’m envisioning as your wedding day approaches.
On your big day, I choose prompts & poses that match your energy and personalities and hype you up along the way! I pay close attention to detail and capture each moment and emotion — big and small — artfully yet authentically.
Before I begin editing, I digest your day: all of the meaningful moments and feelings, big and small, so that I can envision your perfect playback.
Then I find the perfect song (or 4) to match the vibes. If music is something crucial to you and you’d like some input, this is where I’d pull you in for approval. Then, the magic happens: I spend countless hours (days) in the editing cave crafting your film — inevitably laughing and crying as I hope you do while watching the final edit.
